Today saw the hosting of Ledbury Archery Clubs second monthly Club tournament, this was a round called a ‘National’.
A round is a name used to describe the number of distances and the number of arrows that will be shot at each distance.
A ‘National’ is 4 dozen arrows at 60 yards and 2 dozen arrows at 50 yards, there are also other versions of a ‘National’ (Long National, Short National, etc) which are shot at different distances.
It was wonderful to see the new novice Archers take part in the competition and do so well. It is so very useful to all of us as they are run like the larger county tournaments so everyone can get use to how they work and get more experience at tournament style shooting.
Thankyou soo much to Pat and Mark for organising it.
