Finally one week late the Spring beginners course has sprung.
It was so nice to have some many people there, the beginners learning archery and the other club members who gave up valuable shooting time (it was not raining!) to help run the course or to explain their bow or bowstyle.
This was the first time we have run a full day course (over 2 weekends instead of the usual 3 shorter days) and while it looked good on paper we were a little nervous of how it would work out in reality.
I think that (so far) it is working very well with the beginners having more time to shoot and practice with less repetition of housekeeping items that have to be covered at the beginning of the session.
I am really looking forward to day two and hopefully the awarding of lots of certificates to deserving archers.
