A gorgeous misty morning at Putley heralded perfect conditions for our annual Don’t Shoot Santa Shoot this year. A motley crew of happy and hatted archers tackled the clout shoot where we shot at printed sheets rather than the usual flags, giving us the opportunity to shoot the gremlins stealing Santa’s gifts. Thankfully (and probably luckily), Santa himself escaped unscathed.

George shot magnificently and won the Junior prize. Pat outshone everyone and won the Senior prize.

The clout was followed by a few ends at the novelty targets, together with the chance to shoot the dastardly Feathers. All of this fun followed by a roaring BBQ tended to by Graham.
